- THE AUTHORITY OF APPROVING FINAL DECISIONS FOR THE CHURCH WAS NEVER GIVEN TO THE CHURCH BODY, A GROUP, BOARD OR COMMITTEE BUT WAS ALWAYS LEFT IN THE HANDS OF THE SENIOR OVERSEER OF THE CHURCH. Acts 15:19 and 16:4 clearly defines that the Apostle James made the final decision and left the implementation of that decision to the other Apostles and Elders.
